history

Two centuries have passed since Vincenzo Carità opened his first workshop, bottega. He was hardly in his 30s, when, in the far 1834, he achieved the prestigious acknowledgment at the Bourbon Court. When Queen Maria Christina chose to wear one of his necklaces, a classy and refined manufactured jewel, the Carità workshop, located in the heart of the ancient goldsmiths’ village, turned into a breeding ground for young talents eager to train at his school.

Ever since then the leadership of the workshop has always seen a Vincenzo and a Giovanni succeeding each other all the way to the creation of a company with seats all over the world, from United States to Japan.  This transformation is the result of the entrepreneurial spirit and the witty insight of Gianni Carità, who has been running the family company since the second half of the 70s.  Following  up-to-date principles of corporate organization and management, Gianni Carità has lead the foundation for his success on the international scene, crowned in October 1997 with the designation as Italian Republic Knight of Labour, an official recognition of his commitment.

Today Gianni Carità & Figli S.p.a. represents one of the most important Italian companies in the production of jewels.

From Goldsmiths’ Village to Tarì

Mid 90s the Gianni Carità & Figli S.p.A. moves all the corporate premises and productions sites into the Tarì in Marcianise, a Goldsmiths’ centre located right outside the city of Naples, founded and chaired by Gianni Carità. The Tarì, named after an ancient gold coin, is the headquarter of companies operating in the planning, manufacturing and sale of jewellery, goldsmiths and corals.
The Centre covers a surface of nearly 130 thousand m2 and gives job to more than 2000 people. Around 300 companies of the goldsmith sector decided to settle in the Tarì, giving birth to a model unique in its kind in the world and which represents a further proof of the ability and the innovative spirit of the entrepreneur Gianni Carità.
